Tropical Bedding - Turn Your Kid’s Room Into a Vibrant Paradise
Tropical bedding is the prefect choice for any kid’s room that has been designed with a nature, underwater, island or beach theme.
A tropical theme is usually very vibrant, and due to the fact that it’s popular, it shouldn’t be difficult for you to transform your child’s bedroom into a tropical paradise.
There are different tropical themes that your child can choose to go along with the tropical bedding they have selected. The following are some examples of tropical room themes:
* Birds (Macaws, Toucans, etc.)
* Flowers
* Fish
* Beach/Island
Once your kid has selected the tropical bedding that appeals to them, you can then begin to create a room around the design that is featured on the bedding set of their choice. To give you an idea on how this can be done, the following is an example of what you could do if you were decorating a kid’s room with a tropical fish theme.
To begin with, you should first find the tropical bedding that appeals to your child. The best way to do this is to shop online.
Not only is this convenient, but you will also be presented with a picture that shows you what the bedding looks like in a room that has been fashioned in a similar theme.
A great online store where you can find tropical bedding for kids is www.homevision.com. On the site, simply search for 'kids bedding' or 'tropical bedding' and you will be presented with the different bed sets they carry.
Let’s say that your child has decided to choose tropical bedding that has a number of different colored fish, such as the 'Under the sea all-in-one set' that is featured at Home Visions.
This bed set can either be for a twin or
double bed and includes, a reversible comforter, pillow sham(s), bedskirt, and even a complete set of sheets (top sheet, fitted sheet and pillow case(s)).
In order to nicely accommodate the tropical fish bedding, there are different ways in which you could color the walls. For instance, you could:
* Paint the walls a light to a medium shade of blue, and add a matching tropical fish wallpaper border around the middle or top of the room.
* Paint an under sea mural on the wall that includes different colored and sized tropical fish, as well as seaweed, coral, etc. Other room decorations you can add to go with the tropical bedding theme include tropical fish:
* Lamp or lamp shade
* Matching window curtains or valance
* Fish area rug
* Waste paper basket
* Chair and/or bean bag chair
* Throw pillows and blanket
* Plush toys
* Nightlight
* Light switch cover
* Posters, paintings, art prints
In addition, keep in mind that if the tropical theme is for a girl’s room, you may want to jazz up the tropical bedding with a netted canopy. These canopies come in a variety of colors, so you don’t have to stick to basic white. Choose the one that matches the colors in the bed set such as pink, blue, purple, etc.
A theme based on a tropical bedding set can be a lot of fun to put together, and is an experience that you and your kids should enjoy creating together.
