Star Wars Posters - A MUST for the room of a Star Wars fan!

Star wars posters are a huge hit among children, and they would make a wonderful addition to any room that is designed in a star wars theme. A poster can really add to the look of the room, and can jazz up vacant wall space.

Best of all, poster art is relatively cheap, can be conveniently stored when not in use, and is easy to put up and take down. All of these features make star wars posters an ideal decorating choice, as your child’s room can still achieve a great look without you having to empty out your wallet.

Finding star wars prints and posters, particularly those from the recent movie, 'Episode III: Revenge of the Sith', will not be difficult, as it is likely your local mall will have certain stores that carry these posters. However, when it comes to finding star wars posters from the previous movies, and of specific characters, your best bet would be to conduct your star wars search online.

There are a number of sites that you can visit that carry really cool star wars poster art, two of which include Star Wars Posters at All Posters and Art.com!.

To give you some ideas of how you can use star wars posters to create a really funky star wars room theme your child can enjoy, the following is an example of a jedi and sith themed room, based on posters you can find at the above mentioned sites.

If your child happens to like both the sith and the jedi, begin by selecting posters that pertain to each side. For instance, the sith would lnclude star wars posters of darth vadar, darth maul, count dooku, darth sedious, storm troopers, etc.

Whereas jedi posters could include obi-wan Kenobi, luke skywalker, qui-gon Jinn, yoda, mace windu, etc. Posters of characters can be found at these sites by simply searching for the character name or for 'star wars'.

Once you have all of the star wars prints and posters, divide the room in two by painting one side a solid dark color, such as a deep red, gray or black to represent the dark side, and paint the other a solid light color such as blue, green or white to represent the good side. When placing the furniture in the room, if it’s possible, choose furniture to match the dark or the light side (wherever it is being placed) by painting it.

As for the bedding, you may wish to purchase star wars bedding, or depending on what side of the room the bed is on, pick a solid color that matches the color on the wall. Once the furniture has been placed, let your child put up the star wars posters in the design they like.

Finally, to finish off the dark and light side star wars prints and posters room, another nifty idea is to cover the ceiling with stars, either silver or glow in the dark. You can pick up stars at local craft stores.

As you can see, there are many exciting ways that you can decorate your kids room with star wars posters. Let your imagination guide you, and may the force be with you!

I hope these ideas for decorating childrens rooms with Star Wars posters have been helpful.
