Harry Potter Posters - Add a Magical Touch to Any Kid's Room!

Harry potter posters are a perfect addition to any kid’s room that already features decorative harry potter items such as figurines, trinkets, nightlights, snowglobes, bedding, books, calendars, etc. Harry Potter prints and posters will provide that extra special touch to complete the perfect wizards theme, and make the room that much more magical.

There are a number of ways in which you can use different Harry Potter posters to create the Harry Potter theme that appeals to your child. To give you an idea, the following is an example of how you can transform your child’s room into a harry potter paradise, by using one of the school’s houses as your guide.

Within the harry potter school realm, each student is placed in one of four houses, each with its own name, characteristics and colors. The four houses are as follows:

Griffyndor -
Colors: red and gold.
Representative animal: Griffin

Slytherin -
Colors: green and silver.
Representative animal: Snake

Hufflepuff -
Colors: yellow and black:
Representative animal: Badger

Ravenclaw -
Colors: light blue and silver:
Representative animal: Raven

If your child happens to be a fan of Gryffindor, you can obtain harry potter posters that are specific to this house by selecting poster art of Harry, Ron and Hermione. You can also look for wall art of Professor McGonagall, Neville, the Weasley twins, etc. In fact, it is also a good idea to find posters or pictures of a griffin; the house mascot.

You will be able to find many of these posters at great online stores such as Harry Potter Posters at All Posters and Art.com!. There you will not only discover a variety of harry potter posters of the individual characters that will accommodate the Gryffindor themed room, but you can also find a poster of a griffin.

When you call up either site mentioned above, simply type in the word 'griffin' and browse through the pages until you find the desired picture. The same method can be done when searching for harry potter posters.

After your kid chooses the harry potter posters they would like for their room, you can then proceed to paint their walls the Gryffindor house colors.

This can be achieved by:

1. Painting the room one solid color - either maroon or gold
2. Painting the top half of the room maroon and the bottom gold, or vice versa
3. Painting the room maroon with a gold border around the top, or middle of the room, or vice versa

Once painting is complete, set up the room with all of your child’s furniture. If you would like to keep with the authenticity of the theme, deep brown wooden furniture would be your best choice. As for the bedding, you can either go with the wall colors or find harry potter themed bedding.

Once the room has been set up, you can then let your child place his or her harry potter posters as they would like.

There is more than one way to decorate a child’s room in a harry potter poster theme. Should you need further nspiration, you will find that you can get many ideas by looking at harry potter posters online.

Furthermore, take the time to discuss room decorating ideas with your child, because they can give you a good indication of what they want.

I hope these ideas for decorating childrens rooms with harry potter posters have been helpful.
